STALLIONS AT STUD 2009/10.

Cayuse A Grand Illusion,Cayuse Chatta Lena and Cayuse Fewsion.

FEES.

Stud fee for Cayuse A Grand Illusion and Cayuse Fewsion is $1100 which includes 45 days free agistment.Cayuse Chatta Lena stud fee is $880 plus agistment.Booking fee of $220 must be sent

With signed contract.Balance of service fees must be paid prior to live service or shipment of

Chilled semen.No mare will be bred until stud fee is paid.Please send a photocopy of mares

Registration papers.

LIVE FOAL GUARANTEE.

Cayuse stud offers a live foal guarantee with this contract, that is the foal shall stand and suck.

Should it not the mare owner is entitled to a return service the following season only.This

Guarantee will only apply if Cayuse stud is notified of the foal’s death within 72 hours and a

Statement of details from a licensed veterinarian is received within ten days or this guarantee

Becomes null and void.If the mare aborts during gestation a veterinary certificate of barrenness

Must be submitted within ten days.Mares must be vaccinated for Equine Herpes virus during

Pregnancy.There is no live foal guarantee given if the mare is run with geldings during her

Pregnancy.If the mare is found to be a difficult or unlikely breeder, a different mare can be

Substituted.

MARES.

Only healthy mares in sound breeding condition as determined by a veterinarian accepted.All

Mares must be tractable and handled to lead.Rear shoes must be removed from all mares.Mares

Should be vaccinated for strangles/tetnus and wormed prior to arriving at stud.Any breed of

Mare accepted.No grey or pinto/paint coloured allowed.A service certificate will be issued only if

Full payment of all amounts have been made.

AGISTMENT.

Mares agisted in large paddocks with hay and supplements as needed.When free agistment is

Included in the service fee to the 45 day pregnancy test,agistment will start from the 46^thday.

Agistment is $11 a day.On notification of a positive pregnancy test the mare owner must remove

The mare within fourteen days unless prior arrangements have been made.

VETERINARY ATTENTION.

All veterinary expenses will be charged directly to the mare owner.The mare owner warrants that

The mare is breeding sound and hasn’t been in contact with any contagious diseases.Cayuse

Stud may have a veterinarian examine and treat the mare and/or foal when necessary to ensure

Their wellbeing in case of illness or injury at the mare owner’s expense.

LIABILITY.

The owner of the mare/s and /or foal hereby agree to indemnity and hold harmless the Cayuse

Stud,their agents or employees by reason of activities which the mare and/or foal may engage in

And further from any injuries suffered by or to persons who the mare owner brings to or upon

The premises of Cayuse stud.The mare owner hereby agrees to waive and hereby releases any or

All claims against Cayuse stud,their agents and employees arising from the agisting of mare/s and

Or foal/s and breeding mares pursuant to the agreement.Should the mare owner be entitled to a

Free return and the stallion used be no longer available,Cayus estud reserves the right to

TRANSPORTED CHILLED SEMEN.

Transported chilled semen will only be sent to a licensed veterinarian who must sign and return

And Cayuse Chatta Lena.It is the mare owners responsibility to return the Equitainer immediately

By express post to the studs address..If coolant cans or container are missing or damaged the

Mare owner will be charged for replacement items.Collection and freight fee of $250 must

Accompany booking fee.If a mare fails to conceive,a second shipment will be made free of

Charge.Further shipments at mare owners expense.Please keep in contact with the stud with the

Dates of the mares breeding cycle.No weekend shipments.Stud must be notified the previous day

When this contract is signed it will be binding on both parties subject to the above terms
